Uplifting Community

At Churchill and Gilford, we strive to welcome all people from various backgrounds, people of different faith traditions, and people who have no background in Christianity. We are deeply rooted in our faith, while spreading our wings into community, uplifting each other and welcoming our neighbour.

We are here to guide, uplift and accompany those on the journey of life. Gathering together for community events and groups help us stay connected and inspire us to practice our faith together. We strive to live as Jesus taught us, “to love one another,” and “to love your neighbour as yourself.” We believe we do that very well! And hope you will find a place to call home, and vibrant community to fill your life with purpose and meaning, friendship and fellowship, and support during difficult times.

“Love one another, as I have loved you.” – John 13:34

There are many opportunties to experience community, even if you have never been a part of a community like this before.

You can come out to one of our many events, or join a group to share a common interest or learn something new!

We believe in going beyond our walls out into the community as well. We participate in events with our Cluster of United Churches in South Simcoe, and are often invited to represent our churches out in the community, like the first Innisfil Indian Association Diwali event! We love getting together, doing something fun, learning, and of course enjoying food!

We are united in a love for Christ and each other. We believe that Love unites us as one. – John 17:21

We are not meant to walk alone. Our faith invites us to walk with God and each other. Jesus shows us the way.

Some of our larger events include the Church on the Hill concerts at Churchill United twice a year, and the famous Gilford dinners including the Steak BBQ every August that draws over 225 guests from around the community. We love to get together!
