At Churchill Gilford, we strive to bring church to community, and community to church. That means going out beyond our walls to meet people where they are, meeting the needs of those who are struggling, and celebrating the gifts of people who may not come to church on Sunday, especially our youth. We believe the church is a vessel to serve the people, not the people to serve the church. We are adapting to the changing needs of our society, while still bringing faith where it is needed, just as Jesus did 2000 years ago.

Gilford and Churchill members collaborate with Community 4 Kids, helping over 600 children annually by packing bags and distributing gifts and food for Christmas, Easter, and back-to-school. There are many opportunties to volunteer and lend a hand!
Additionally, our churches proudly supported the Nantyr Shores Triton Band, funding instruments and competition travel to places like Niagara Falls, where the teens won gold two years running and are now competing internationally, crediting the music program for transforming their lives.
In February 2024, Rev. Krista Moore and her husband Steve Woods plunged into the icy waters of Lake Simcoe for the Preacher’s Plunge, raising funds for the Innisfil Food Bank and Churchill and Gilford United Churches’ Benevolent Fund, with Steve presenting the cheque to the food bank Krista Moore – Preacher’s Plunge 2024. Steve also took part in the Poland Plunge in Karpacz, Poland, from March 9-15, 2025, supporting the Benevolent Fund and Youth Unlimited Krista Moore – Poland Plunge 2025.
